I’m sure you have all seen it. Those medical supplies that seem to cost way too much. I think if we would stop these obvious over charges it might help make health costs more affordable.
I’ve had a number of knee surgeries over the past year and each time they wrap my knee with those blue re-usable ice packs like you might use in a cooler. They come in a neat foam and Velcro wrap that fits around my knee. One of them is pictured here.
So how much does this piece of equipment cost? $90.00! On top of that the health insurance only pays $60.00 which is still too much. I get the bill for the remaining $30.00 from EBI. These guys must be raking it in.
Perhaps if we start posting some of these stupid charges something will get done….or not ;-)
