A friend sent me an invite to get Joost. Thought I would try it out. Basically it was a no show for me.
Install runs fine. First startup goes full screen, mouse becomes jerky (calls me names :-), cannot type into the input fields. Finally got the “Get Username” clicked but jerky behavior continues. Tried to type in my user name. Each key press repeats across the field (kkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr). Finally clicked exit and it ended.
Tried a second time to confirm my own insanity. Same results. My guess is that it doesn’t handle a widescreen display very well. Why does it go full screen anyway? Why take up the full screen on start especially when you are on a 1600 x 1200 screen?
Joost not ready (yea I know it is beta). Uninstalled. Didn’t really know why I would watch TV on my computer anyway. Back to useful work.
